During rallies in Budiope West for NRM candidates, including Minister for Presidency Milly Babirye Babalanda, Woman MP Sarah Namulondo, and LCV candidate Sharif Mangaraine, Among urged voters to focus on service delivery and ideology rather than identity politics or hate speech.

“We should focus on ideology, service delivery, not identity, personal issues, or past grievances. Let us embrace leadership that promotes development,” Among said.

Among emphasised that while NRM candidates are expected to win, Budiope should aim for top performance to secure additional development benefits. She encouraged voters to disregard opposition promises, describing them as “populist” and anti-development.

“The opposition says they will remove PDM in their first 100 days. We plan to increase it and even create a wealth fund for those who do not qualify. Stick with Mzee and his team,” she said, pledging to support Budiope as a daughter-in-law and ensure delivery of services including a district hospital, piped water, the Bukungu ferry, electricity expansion, and improved roads.

Former Vice President Kazibwe urged Busoga leaders to unite behind NRM, avoid internal divisions, and focus on regional development.

“Mzee noted that internal fights and divisions have kept Busoga behind and in poverty. I will work with my sisters to harmonise efforts and prioritise service delivery,” she said.

EALA MP Veronica Babirye Kadogo stressed the importance of collaboration and supporting one another in different leadership roles to maximise development opportunities for Budiope.

“A united front allows us to harness resources and serve our people effectively. Fighting among ourselves only wastes potential,” Kadogo said.

The rallies highlighted NRM’s message of development-focused leadership and called on voters to consolidate support for the party’s candidates.
